The Church Hall

The church has exquisite icons, mosaics and wall paintings, beautiful statues in the front and back yard, and unique decorations that include a historical frieze depicting Romania's 2000-year history.

Unique among other parishes is the Romanian Ethnic Art Museum boasting ethnic costumes, original paintings, artifacts, historic photographs and memorabilia that go back to the late 19th Century.

The museum also displays a rare leather-bound 1924 edition of Eminescu's Luceafarul (The Evening Star featured on this site) - with exquisite original chromo-lithographic illustrations by
Misu Teisanu (1883-1843)

And secret tears my eyes prevail...

Only 50 copies of this album were initially made - featuring 22 lithographs created by the artist between 1921-1923 - and a handful only are said to have survived.

This rarity clearly prompts consideration of a project that will reproduce it as a special bilingual edition with both this original Luceafarul and The Evening Star English text.
