Bill Cross: Graduated 1964: New York State Regents Degree, Leavenworth Central School, Wolcott, N.Y.; National Honor Society membership, winner of Regents Scholarship. Graduated: BA, College of Wooster, 1968; Phi Beta Kappa membership, co-winner of the Wilson Compton Prize in its inaugural year (1968), and Departmental Honors in Psychology. Mr. Cross is a published poet and photographer, and has given many public poetry readings and had solo shows of his photographs. He directed the poetry reading series at the 100 Flowers Book Store in Cambridge, Ma., 1975. He sang for 11 seasons in the chorus of Boston’s Handel and Haydn Society, 1972-82. He is a certified Polarity Therapy Practitioner, graduate of the J. Victor Scherer Academy in Santa Fe, N.M., 1975, and has studied nutrition at the graduate level, Framingham State, 1978-79. He has conducted workshops and seminars on exercise, nutrition, and acupressure. Retired since 2003, he now directs the production of Global Arts original cultural/artistic materials and provides a computer-based audio/visual editing suite to facilitate the organization’s projects.
