March 9 - Chelsea, MA, Music and poetry recital with Adrian G Sahlean. Fundraiser to benefit the local Romanian Saint Mary Church.

April 23-24 - Cambridge, MA. Romanian Film Festival at Harvard University, organized by Global Arts and the Harvard Student Association. The event featured five contemporary short movies, the all-time 'classic' 1968 'Reenactment' (banned in Romania until the fall of Communism in 1989) and the documentary 'Cold Waves'/Razboi pe calea undelor about the impact of Radio Free Europe on Romanian listeners. A panel discussion followed, moderated by A. G. Sahlean - with guests Justin Liuba, former Director of Radio Free Europe, and Dan Dimancescu, Honorary Consul of Romania in Boston.

May 20, New York -  'Down Memory Lane on Music’s Magic Carpet' - Music and Poetry recital and fundraising, with Mirela Dumitru (vocals) and Nicky Stoica (keyboard). A. G. Sahlean was the special guest as MC, narrator, and vocalist.

May 25, New York - Celebrating Nina Cassian, one of the most celebrated Romanian poets, living in NY. Her poems frequently graced the New Yorker or even the subway posters. She enthusiastically authored the preface of the first edition of The Legend of the Evening Star, A.G. Sahlean's translation of Eminescu's 'Legenda Luceafarului'.

August 20, Bucharest, Romania -  Donation by A. G. Sahlean of books and study furniture to the Tudor Arghezi memorial house 'Martisor.' Tudor Arghezi (1880 – 1967) was one of Romania's most important classic writers and poets. The library belonged to late great Romanian scholar Victor Sahleanu.

24 August, Bucharest, Romania - A.G. Sahlean interview for the Romanian Broadcasting Company on Global Arts' activities in the U.S. and the upcoming projects related to Eminescu.
