May 29, New York - Participation at Book Expo America international book fair. Mr. Sahlean introduced his book 'Migalosul Cronogfag: traducand Eminescu' (The Painstaking Chronophage - translating Eminescu) in the presence of writers and poets Ana Blandiana, Romulus Rusan, Petru Popescu and Theodor Damian.
Also presented were his most recent English translation volumes of contemporary Romanian poets and writers: Clara Margineanu (Blue Woman - Selected Poems); Iulia Pana (Ebony Bones); Nuta Istrate Gangan (No One Dies of a Broken Heart - No One Lives); Attila Ballazs (Casanova's Metamorphoses).

November 11, Bucharest, Romania. Mr. Sahlean's book 'Migalosul Cronogfag: traducând Eminescu' (The Painstaking Chronophage - translating Eminescu) received the prestigious Book-of-the-Year 2015 Award from the Romanian Writers Union - Department of Literary Translations. The book is a collection of essays on literary translation and translating the 'national poet', a critical comparison of all renditions of Eminescu's 'Luceafărul' (The Evening Star) by English speaking translators and Romanian scholars, and offers a unique glimpse into the meter-and-rhyme work of the translator of poetry.
November 12, Bucharest, Romania. Lecture at the Metropolitan Library on the writing of 'Migalosul Cronofag'/ The Painstaking Chronophage. The presentation was introduced by translator George Volceanov and writer Peter Sragher, president of Romanian Writers Union - Department of Literary Translations.
