April 10, Framingham, MA. Meeting with the Romanian folk dance and music group Plaiurile Dornelor. Their previous visit for Romania's Independence Day included a fundraiser wherein Mr. Sahlean joined the performers with two Romanian songs from the region. A joyous reunion that revived that performance for the Folk Arts Center of New England participants who sponsored the tour and the younger dance members of the group.

May 13-19, Bucharest. Participation at the Tenth International Poetry Festival gathering international and local poets and writers, literary translators, publishers, as well as performing artists. The week-long event included book launches, public readings, conferences, poetry performances, discussion panels, creative writing workshops, slam poetry, and poetry and jazz shows.

May 15, Bucharest. Live interview with host Andrei Partos (the "Music Psychologist") as "featured guest". The daily show invites musicians, artists, writers and cultural personalities for an in-depth friendly discussion of projects both past and current.

May 17, Bucharest. Book Launch of bilingual volume "Femeia Albastra / The Blue Woman" at the National Museum of Romanian Literature - featuring translations by A. G. Sahlean of the contemporary poet - Clara Margineanu. The first edition was published in 2015 by Global Arts NPO through Amazon's Create Space.  The launch was a scheduled event at the International Poetry Festival.

May 18, Bucharest. Conference at the National Museum of Romanian Literature. The presentation - "Why Eminescu is the most unknown European national poet" - reviewed the less-than-convincing English translations from the poet during the last hundred years (by both Romanian academics and native speakers of English) singularly responsible for the current status. 

May 24, Bucharest. Interview with Clara Margineanu on the launching of volume "Femeia Albastra / The Blue Woman" at the RTV. The program emphasized the role played by Global Arts NPO, translator A. G. Sahlean and editor William C. Cross.

June 15, Bucharest. Interview at the DG News TV Station (taped on May 17 about the (then) upcoming conference on Eminescu at the National Museum of Romanian Literature. The interview - touched on the poet's lack of recognition in the English world as well as his misdiagnosed mental condition (in my capacity as a psychotherapist.)

June 06, Bucharest. Participation at the International Film Festival opening night. Sponsored by the Romanian Cultural Institute the event occasioned meetings and informal discussions with the RCI top management (including RCI president, Liliana Turoiu), as well as cultural personalities from the capital city milieu. Support for an Eminescu book project published in the US was reiterated.

June 14, Bucharest. Two interviews at the Chainsaw Europe TV studios with Dragos Lumpan, filmmaker and photographer, a freelancer for National Geographic Romania (the documentary "The Last Transhumance" now in post-production).

The first interview, "1984 vs. Now", was taped for an International Web Platform featuring photos, videos, and images from TV archives and former security organizations inside the communist Eastern block. 

June 14, Bucharest. (continued) - interviews at the Chainsaw Europe TV studios. The second interview, “Art Exit”, covered artistic achievement by Romanians in the Diaspora following the fall of the communist regime in 1989. Supporting project partners include the UNARTE Center for Documentary Photography, the Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania, and organizations such as Pro Progressione, Carturesti, Active Watch, and Zeppelin.

November 29, Hartford. Participation in the special event at the CT Capitol commemorating 30 years since the Fall of Communism in Romania. The program included performances celebrating Romania's cultural patrimony by Mirela Panaitisor (violinist), Laurentiu Rotaru (bass-baritone), and Adrian Sahlean with a short recital from his English translations from Mihai Eminescu. 

December 14, Newton, MA. Participation in a fundraiser for the EERC organization (Educational Enrichment for Romanian Children). Mr. Sahlean performed several traditional Romanian Christmas carols.
