January 14, Newton. Presentation to the Romanian community at the Auburndale Community Library: 'Translating Eminescu with Adrian Sahlean'. The discussion - based on the book of essays 'Migalosul Cronofag' - covered a wide range of subjects related to literary translations.
February 17, Boston - Italian Night at Longwood Towers - Opera Duets and Canzonetta. Joining Mr. Sahlean as presenter and guitar/vocals were mezzo-soprano Emma Sorenson, baritone Ryne Cherry, and pianist Edoardo Carpenendo.
April 1, Andover. Global Arts participation in a fundraiser for EERC (Educational Enrichment for Romanian Children). Mr. Sahlean presented a program of traditional music (guitar/voice.)
May 4, Corfu, Greece. Creative camp with contemporary translators. Host Cristian Saileanu, the author of several novels, also translated into English the classic Romanian playwright Ion Luca Caragiale.
July 9, Holliston, MA. Joint Global Arts participation in a fundraiser for EERC (Educational Enrichment for Romanian Children).
October 28, Toronto, Canada. Book launch of book translations by Sahlean of "Events in the Life of an Ordinary Man" and "Under the Dark Wing of War" in the presence of author and international entrepreneur Herman Victorov.
