February 2, Boston - Global Arts sponsored concert with Romanian singer-songwriter Alexandru Andries for the Romanian community of Boston area.
June 13, New York. Poetry recital at the NY Romanian Cultural Institute by A.G. Sahlean with selected English translations from the Romanian national poet Mihai Eminescu, on his anniversary. The recital included "Ode in Ancient Meter", "Unto the Star", "Stars in the Sky", "Glossa" and "The Legend of the Evening Star."
October 18, Cambridge. Meeting at Massachusetts Institute of Technology with Romanian writer Mircea Cartarescu - Nobel Prize nominee - which covered aspects of creative writing and the literary translation into English of prose vs. poetry.
December 13, Boston. Christmas Concert and fund-raiser with singer-songwriter Stefan Hrusca to benefit the Romanian community. The program included traditional carols also sung by A.G.Sahlean at church holiday events in the Boston area.
